I had been following their work for some time before the first contact, so it was a pleasant surprise to receive a message from Evandro asking me for a quote to create illustrations representing some of their most popular characters.

I think my favorite artwork here was the "Emília Chavoza", a reinterpretation of the Emília Doll, a character created by Monteiro Lobato for the Sítio do Pica-pau Amarelo books, a great work of Brazilian Children's Literature.

With dozens of characters, some original and others based on cultural references from the Brazilian Northeast, the Lemos Sibllings have won many hearts with their unique charisma and without much modesty, I believe that my art has added something to that.
